1 DAY BOAT AND KAYAKING (SOPJAM – MUANG NGOI)

Your trip start with a boat ride for 2 hours up the Nam ou river to Ban Sopjam weaving village. From the boat you will see the spectacular mountain scenery of the Nam ou river with big limestone mountains beautiful views and many village in both sides.
Also Ban Sopjam village is famous for traditional Lao silk and cotton weaving. The local people will show you how they are weaving silk and cotton scarf with their beautiful pattern. You can buy any you like directly from the ladies and support at the same time. After spending sometime in this small weaving village you will take the boat downstream to visit Muang Ngoi village, we have time to explore the area. Our guide will take you visit history cave and Phanoi viewpoint. One of the stunning viewpoint as you see the wide landscape and beautiful Muang Ngoi village.
Here you will enjoy your coffee or tea and lunch, during that time your guide will explain you about Muang Ngoi histories, which was used the bomb by the second world war.
After returning to the river bank, your guide will give you a safety briefing and a short introduction to the basic of the kayaking (you can take the boat if you don’t want to kayak). You then journey downstream, seeing water buffalo, fishermen and enjoying the quiet, peace spectacle of the Nam ou river for 2.5 hours back to Nong Khiaw.

The tour will departure at the office in Nong Khiaw by pick up at the place you’re staying at 8:30 am. It will take 1 hour by boat to Muang Ngoi. From the boat you can see many beautiful views and village in both sides.
After arrived to Muang Ngoi village, we have 2 hours explorer the area. Our guide will take you visit history cave and Phanoi viewpoint. One of stunning viewpoint as you can see the wide landscape and beautiful Muang Ngoi village.
We will go back to the boat After Finished discovering the village and go to the next village called Sopkong farming village of khmu. Then you will trek from here 1 hour to the Big Tad mok waterfall. On the trail you will see beautiful landscapes, organic farms and local families Live here. Specially you will have a chance to walk through the amazing terrace fields. After reached to the big Tad waterfall, you will have 1 hour for lunch and swimming in the cold waterfall pool.

Trip Overview
A day boat trip, with a waterfall, small village and kayaking
Itinerary
You start from our agency in Nong Khiaw around 9:00 am, than take the slow boat ride up the river for 45 minutes to a small khmu Lao farming village called Ban Houy Hoy, which you explore. Then you go up river by boat again to a Sopking Khmu village where the one hour trek starts through local rice paddies, jungle valleys and small mountain slopes. Finally you reach a stream and after a little climb reach a waterfall with a small swimming area where are you can swim and have provided lunch.

Trip Overview
2 hours cycling, a waterfall and 2 hours kayaking.
Itinerary
8:00 am: Meet at the office in Nong Khiaw or pick up you at hotel
8:30 am: Cycle along the Nam ou river, cross at Ban Hat Sao and arrive at Ban Sop Vanh to see their temple. Continue cycling along arrange riverside path to Ban Sop kong.
11:30 am: Hike to the beautiful Tad Mork waterfall through Working rice fields, seeing oxen, cows and water buffaloes.
12:30 pm: At the waterfall, relax, sunbathe, swim in the clear water and enjoy a traditional Lao lunch. You walk the same path back to Ban sop Kong
2:30 pm: Kayaking back to Nong khiaw journeying downstream, seeing many bird species, water buffalo, fishermen, while enjoying the quiet and peace spectacle of the river

1 DAY – 100 WATERFALLS TRAIL

Difficulty: Easy to moderate with a little difficulty 1 hour climbing through water. You will get wet up to your knees.

Start this day of adventure with a peaceful boat ride on the Nam ou river, where you will be able to explore a small Lao village along the riverside. Learn about the villages and their way of life along this northern Lao river before beginning the 100 waterfalls adventure trail.
Walking through small streams and rice paddies, You will arrive at the bottom of the 100 waterfalls which where only first explore in Nong khiaw for the next few hours you will see only waterfall and jungle and hear the constant sound of clear waterfall cascades. The pools around you are very inviting for a refreshing splash.
You guide will lead you through the Cascedes and preparen a local style lunch that you can enjoy on the falls surrounded by amazingly green nature.
A small village trail on the top of the 100 waterfalls will lead us on our hike back down in to the valley, offering wide views over the expansive Nam ou valley.
After take a boat back to visit history cave which was a hospital during the war and enjoying with some drinks before back to Nong Khiaw.
