Day 1: Houayxay-Pakbeng (Boat)

Upon arrival 11:00 take the slow boat from Luangnamtha to Pakbeng. This trip on the way you will enjoy the Mekong River view, Ethnic village along the way and then stay overnight at Pakbeng district.

Day 2: Pakbeng – Luang Prabang (Boat)

After breakfast 9:00 am slow boat start cruise from Pakbeng about 7 Hours on the way you will enjoy view of river, Mountain, Village, and buffet lunch on the boat. After lunch, your journey give to continue to Luangprabang and stay overnight at Luangprabang.

Day 3: Luangprabang city tour

Starts with a visit to Wat Xiengthong, King place, Kuangsi waterfall, and Tadsae waterfall and return to Luangprabang visit Luang Prabang night market.

Day 4: Luang Prabang – Xiengkhuang (Road)

We start early this morning, around 8 am for the drive to Xiengkhuang, famous for the ‘Plain of Jars’. The road follows a twisty mountain route, and we make our first stop at Houi Hei, which offers great views of the surrounding mountains. We then continue a Khmu village to explore, before arriving in Phou Khoun for lunch. We continue on the road into Xiengkhuang province, reaching our highest altitude of the day 1500m above sea level, just after Phou Khoun. We have time to make a stop at a Hmong village. Our final stops of the day are a reminder that this region played a major part during the Vietnam War – as we visit a hidden Buddha Cave, that served as an army hospital during the war. We arrive at your hotel by early evening.

Day 5: Xiengkhuang City tours.

After breakfast transfer out to visit Jar Site 1, Jar site 2 and site 3 located on top of a hill offering great views of the surrounding countryside. Then driving out to the ancient town of Muang Khoun, the former provincial capital, where you can explore the ruins of a number of ancient pagodas in the Lanna style and Wat Phiawat, a ruined temple containing a huge sitting Buddha and then return to the hotel.

Day 6: Xiengkhouang – Viengxay (Road)

We begin our long drive today starting early this morning along some fairly rough roads, but the journey is broken up with stops at Hmong and Khmu villages as well as time to admire the breathtaking scenery with a series of photo stops. Following lunch, we visit Hintang. Here we can see the mysterious menhirs (standing stones). No one is quite sure who built them or why perhaps burial sites or markers of some sort. We also stop a Tai Phong weaving village. We arrive in Sam Neua early evening.

Day 7. Sam Neua – Viengxai (Road)

We begin the day with an optional short walk around Sam Neua town, including a visit to the weaving house showroom, this area is highly regarded for its weaving products. We take a walk along the river to visit the local wet market. We then set off on the short drive to Viengxai Caves. This is where the Pathet Lao leaders lived during the “Secret War’. We start our fascinating audio tour, that includes a visit to the Kaysone Phomivhane Cave, and the Prince Soupanouvong Cave. We finish with the artillery cave that offers stunning views, over the surrounding countryside. In the afternoon, we take an easy walk to some of the little visited caves and an opportunity to take in the beautiful limestone karst scenery. We return to Sam Neua by late afternoon where you will overnight.

Day 8: Samneua – Nongkhaiw (Road)

We start early this morning, around 8 am for the drive to Nongkhaiw The famous for the ‘Nam Ou River Site and slow boat’. The road follows a twisty mountain route, and we make our stop at visit ethnic village on the way, which offers great views of the surrounding mountains and arrives at Nongkhaiw about 4 Pm and the stay overnight at Nongkhaiw.

Day 9: Nongkhaiw – Muang ngoi – Muangkhoua “Phongsaly province”(Boat).

After breakfast 9:00 am slow boat start the cruise from  Nongkhaiw to Muangngoi about 2 hours and then stop to visit the ethnic village around Muangngoi and then start to continue from Muangngoi to Muangkhoua about 5  Hours more on the way you will enjoy the view of river, Mountain, Village and Lunch on the boat. After lunch, your journey give to continue to Muangkhoua arrive at about 5 pm and stay overnight at Muangkhoua.

Day 10: Muangkhoua – Muangla(Hot spring) – Oudmoxay (Road)

We start the morning around 9 am for the drive to Muangla The famous for the ‘Hot spring ’ and then lunch at Muangla. after Lunch drive give to continue to Oudomxay and the go to stay overnight at Namkat yolapa Resort.

Day 11: Namkat Yolapa(Oudomxay) – Luangnamtha province (Road)

After breakfast 9:00 am start the drive to Luangnamtha The famous for the ‘Trekking at Namha National park ’ on the way we will stop to visit the ethnic village, Local market and then Lunch Luangnamtha. After lunch, you will free for the afternoon and stay overnight at Luangnamtha province.

Day 12-13 : 2 Day Treking at Namha National park.

The NPA area 222.400 hectare, It's nature of biodiversity conservation area is home to nearby 300 Species different of plants and animals, Some of the more spectacular mammals found inside this area.

Trekking and Kayaking are two great ways to experience. Both activities require a permit to enter the park. Trek in the NPA area range from 1 day to 5 days trips to encourage remote the village with our company.

  • This trip you have to visit five villages, see three villages along the Namha valley (NPA)
  • The life here is simple as villagers are living without electricity
  • 2-day trekking in the jungle of the Nam Ha NPA- Spend the night in a Khmu tribe minority village, in an Eco-lodge built by the villagers and overlooking the Nam Ha river
  • Ascends through 10- to the 20-year-old secondary forest before emerging a the village's upland rice fields and picnic lunch on top of the mountain
  • After Lao picnic lunch, the trail enters the Ban Nalan community forest, and as the path begins to descend to the village, it passes a small clearing, which served as a gun position during the early 1960s, when Pathet Lao revolutionaries and royalist forces fought in the area
  • Begin the second morning with a pleasant walk following the Nam Ha River. Here, the forest varies from stands of large hardwoods to new growths of bamboo. The trail passes through the village of Ban Nalan Tai (South Ban Nalan) and the open cultivated areas of the Lanten village of Ban Nam Koy where you'll have lunch
  • Leave the river and climbs for a couple of hours. This is the most challenging section of the trail, but also the most beautiful, as it passes through the least impacted forest of the trip. Trees up to four or five hundred years old create a dense canopy which provides a habitat for many birds. Pause quietly for a minute and listen to the forest come alive with the sounds of birds and insects
  • The final descent goes past mountain rice fields and cultivated areas of the mixed Lanten and Khamu village of Ban Nam Lue. The trail here can be steep and slippery in places, especially after a rainfall
  • You will finish your trip around 16:00 PM, the driver will pick up you to the city

Day 14: Luangnamtha – Houayxay.

After breakfast starts driver from Luangnamtha to Houayxay about 4 hours on the way stop to visit many difference ethnic villages, Viewpoint on the way and you will arrive Houaxay about the afternoon and then end of the tour.
