2 Days Aka Mouchi Trek

Duration: Day 1: 6 hours, Day2: 6.5 hours walking
This trek combines an easy walk with an overnight in a beautifully located Mouchi village. From BounTai a public tuktuk, where you might share your sit with akha people coming back from the market, takes you on a side road through Pouli and Eupa villages. Then a small path brings you up to a high village, where the unique Mouchi people (6 villages only in Phongsaly) are your hosts for the night. They will give you the traditional welcoming massage. On the 2d day, walk down back to the road and have lunch in an Eupa village before catching the tuktuk back to BounTai.

2 Days Akha Cherpia trek

Visit tribal village of Akha Cherpia and other hill tribes in remote area of Bountai
Itinerary:
Day one: Bountai – Tribal villages – B. Borhat – Chawang village.
Meet our guide at Saenphaxay Guesthouse in Bountai.
We take our private car to the point where our trek starts. On the way, we stop and visit villages of Taileu, Taiyang, Akha Mouchee, and Hmong tribes. Driving will finish at Borhat village( village of Khmu). Then we start our trek from Ban Borhat to Ban Chawang. Trekking uphill through forests and nice landscapes, then we reach to Ban Chavang village (Akha cherpia). Chawang village is a small village with 14 houses, located on higher mountains. It is a beautiful landscape. The women at this village still wear their traditional clothes. Today we spent overnight at this village.
Approximately: 2,5 hours trekking. Trekking level: moderate
Day two: Chawang – Ban Namban – Ban Namhin – back to Bountai.
In the early morning, your sleeping time will be disturbed by roosters’ crowing at about 4-5 am, it wakes you up to see what people doing their morning housework. We can also get up and walk around the village to experience with good atmosphere of fresh air, enjoy amazing landscape, and mountain valley which is covered by clouds. After breakfast, we say goodbye to the host family and village. We walk downhill on animal trail, pass wet rice field and then reach the tractor road, meet our driver there. Wewill drive back to Bountai, on the way we stop and visit some tribal villages such as Akha Cherpia and Hmong tribes. After visiting, we drive back to bountai, end our trip in Bountai, say good bye your guide and driver.

2 Days Akha Cherpia trek

Itinerary
Day 1: Bountai – Tribal villages – Ban Terkar – B. Cherya(_/L/D)
Meet our guide at Saenphaxay Guesthouse in Bountai. And then we take a private car from Bountai to Ban Eperjing. On the way we will drive and stop to visit tribal villages of Akha Poulee, Akha Cherpia and Akha Erpa. We arrive at Eperching village (Akha Mouchee). Then have a picnic lunch on the way; from here, after lunch we will trek through primary forests and wet rice fields, then we reach Ban Cherya village “Mouchee tribe” ( This village is famous for Green tea and whisky), if you are good in drinking Lao whisky, we recommend you try to sip with the villagers. You have opportunities to explore ethnic people and their culture. Overnight with family at Cherya village. Trekking: 3 hours. Trekking level : moderate
Day 2: Cherya village – trekking – Ban Achernampok and Ban mouchee Nampok .
After breakfast, take photo with family for your memories. Say goodbye to the hostfamily. Before we leave village, enjoy your time to explore village before start trekking. On the trail, we trek downhill, you will experience wonderful landscapes of mountainous area. Trekking will reach Ban ArCho Nampok and Ban Mouchee Nampok, where we meet our driver and drive back to Bountai.

2 Days Jungle Trek and Akha Moutern

Visit village of Akha moutern and explore deep jungle of Nam Lan conservation Area .
Itinerary:
Day 1: Bountai – Ban Sapa( Akha village) – jungle trek – Ban Akha moutern (_/L/D).
Meet your local guide at Saenphaxay Guesthouse. in Bountai. Private drive to Ban Sapa,
Trekking will start from Ban Sapa village which is located in Nam Lan protected Area, we will take 5 – 6 hours through a deep jungles to experience amazing untouched forest. We will trek along the streams, then we reach Ban Moutern village (Akha Moutern), the village is hidden in the deeper jungle. We will have dinner and stay overnight at this village.
Trekking: 5 – 6 hours, Trekking level: very difficult.
Day 2: Akha Moutern village – jungle trek – Ban Naten – Bountai(B/L/_).
After breakfast, we say good bye incredible hidden people. Today is still a challenging day. We trek through untouched forest, uphill to higher mountains. It is hard trekking indeed. We need sporty trekker to do this trek. After we reach the top of mountain and then trek downhill along steep path. Finally we finish our trek, where we meet our driver.
We drive to Ban Naten. Good lunch time at village. Drive to Bountai. we will arrive in Bountai in the late afternoon and finish the trip.
Trekking: 6 – 6,5 hours, trekking level: very difficult.
